Description
What a great bass this 1969 Fender Telecaster Bass is.
First off let's talk about the fact that this Tele Bass is 8.38lbs!
It is a great weight and very easy to play.
The Serial number on the Plate dates it to a 1969 build, but all of the parts on the bass are from 1968 and earlier. It was not uncommon for pots to be from a few years earlier, which is the case with the units dating from 1966 in this bass.
Also, the pickup dates to 1968.
It doesn't appear that these were tampered with and believed to be original from the factory.
Regardless, they all work and sound great!
The body shows minimal wear with some slight discoloration on the lower rear of the body by the strap button (pictured).
There are also a few small holes drilled in the body from a previous owner trying to remedy the shrinking of the original pickguard. You cannot see them with the guard on.
The neck is smooth and comfortable and straight. You can see where the frets ends were oxidized and bled into the wood. It shows that this bass was used!
The frets are in great shape, and every note rings true.
This is a great light bass that will make its next owner very happy.
Will be shipped in its original case
